article thumb - Bangle workshop
I will be teaching jewellery making workshops over the summer at the Discovery Centre in Winchester: - Beginner's bangle workshop: The day will introduce students to the basic techniques of jewellery making using sterling silver. You will learn how to create a bangle to your own design. You will be introduced to the skills of sawing, filing, soldering, texturing and polishing. The class will be taught as a group and you will produce a simple design of your own with guidance and support from your tutor. This course is suitable for anyone who would like to learn the basics of jewellery making using Sterling Silver. You will have full instruction of all techniques and work in a relaxed and fun environment. Please bring along: a pencil, note pad, apron or clothes you don’t mind getting messy, closed toe shoes, glasses for close work if you usually wear them, small plastic box for your materials kit (an empty food container will be perfect) and a hair band if you have long hair. All materials are included in the course fee. This will be provided to you by your tutor on the day of the workshop. For ethical and ecological reasons, all sterling silver supplied on this course is made from 100% recycled. To enrol on a course, please get in touch: 07580 943 341 or book directly via my website!
