Description
This year's programme is the most vibrant and diverse since the Festival began in 2008.
"Whilst the great European composers such as Haydn, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and Mozart continue to dominate, we have enjoyed riding the wave of change: exploring musical styles from all over the globe, higlighting neglected female composers and discovering the exceptional creative output of Composer-in-Residence, Piers Hellawell."
Musicians include: David Adams, Lucy Gould, James Toll & Max Baillie violin, Simone van der Giessen viola, Kate Gould & Richard Lester cello, Marianne Schofield double bass, Benjamin Frith piano, Liz Kenny lute/theorbo, Katharine Dain soprano, Fritz Brothers swing jazz band, Piers Hellawell composer-in-residence Sam Glazer, workshop leader Lenny Sayers, family concert presenter Aestus Quartet emerging quartet-in-residence.
