Small grants up for grabs

Street Party Small Grants
Could you organise a community activity for the Royal Wedding?

Local organisations and communities are invited to bid for up to £500 for a one off activity, new piece of equipment, or for a community activity to celebrate the Royal Wedding in May.

The final round of the Winchester City Council small grants scheme is now open for applications from not for profit/voluntary organisations, and the application deadline is noon Wednesday 21 February 2018.

This grant stream is for one-off activities or pieces of equipment.  You may wish to apply for a health related activity, a new/additional piece of equipment for a sports club, promotional material for an arts event/project or for a community activity to celebrate the Royal Wedding in May.

Portfolio Holder for Estates and Community Grants, Cllr Stephen Miller said:

A small grant can make a real difference to a community. We endeavour to fund a wide range of organisations and activities across the District to help make things happen. This is also an opportunity for organisations to encourage people to get together to commemorate the Royal Wedding.

The small grants are an essential source of funding for groups who just need a little bit of money for an activity or piece of equipment.
