Have your say on Winchester’s parks and open spaces

Visitors to the parks and open spaces in Winchester are being asked to complete a short survey to voice their opinions on the facilities in the city. The Landscape and Open Spaces team at Winchester City Council are gathering opinions to guide future improvements and ongoing management to green spaces in the area.

Visitors are being asked to consider a variety of aspects including access to the area, maintenance of the space and the range of facilities available.

Cllr Jan Warwick, Portfolio Holder for Environment, said:

We take the condition of our parks and green spaces in the district very seriously and are eager to hear the views of visitors to ensure the spaces are being enjoyed and our high standards are being met.

The survey is available online at https://winchester.citizenspace.com/landscape-open-spaces/parks-and-green-spaces-visitor-survey/ and is open for responses until 30 November 2018 after which the data will be reviewed and published for use with future planning.

In addition to this the Landscape and Open Spaces team are collecting historical information on the open spaces in the city. If you have any stories, photos or information you would like to share please sent them to slord@winchester.gov.uk or call 01962 848 533.
