Increase your chances of finding a job
Job seekers are invited to attend the Winchester Job Fair, a free event held at the Discovery Centre in Jewry Street on 3 October.
Jointly organised by Winchester City Council, The Department of Work and Pensions, A2Dominion and Radian Homes, job seekers will benefit from free workshops on subjects including CV building, interview techniques, transferable skills and Universal Credit. There will also be sessions on self-employment and setting-up a business.
Up to 25 local employers in the Winchester District plan to attend the fair including Hampshire County Council, Debenhams, the NHS, Que Hotels, The Ivy, the University of Winchester and many more.
Winchester City Council leader, Cllr Caroline Horrill said:
“We have worked closely with organisations to ensure this event provides a real benefit to job seekers in the district by providing a chance for them to obtain skills, to improve their CVs and, most importantly, to help them gain employment."
