Alternatively, our reception has facilities where you can submit your request and payment and if you want additional support, please contact us beforehand.

Following your submission, you will receive an automated acknowledgement with your reference number. An Officer will contact you and a deliverable timeframe will be agreed with you to provide the advice requested. This timeframe may be extended where more time is needed for valid reasons.

 

Please note: This service is only available for sites within the Winchester City Council District and will not include properties situated within the South Downs National Park. We aim to advise of the merits of a scheme delivering more certainty by indicating likely or possible outcomes for it. We also aim to understand what your priorities are and aim to work collaboratively with you to resolve enforcement problems.

Requests for pre-application advice and the response provided will not be published on the council’s website. 

There is the possibility that under Freedom of Information Regulations (FOI) or Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), we will be asked to provide information about enquiries, and we have to decide whether the information can be released.

However, the provisions of the FOI or EIR are binding to the Council and therefore it should be presumed that information supplied to the Council is likely to be disclosed under the above Act should a request be made. You should state clearly if you want information to remain confidential and why. Information sent to the Council "in confidence" may still be disclosed under the above Act.
