Ways to pay

Direct Debit - Go to Manage your Business Rates online to set up a Direct Debit. You will need your bank details and your Business Rates account reference number that starts with a '7'. If you have any difficulty with this then please contact the Revenues section on 01962 848 288.
The Direct Debit Guarantee protects everybody who pays by direct debit and means that you are always in control of your money. Make sure you keep a copy of the guarantee.
Direct debit saves you time and hassle and is one of the most cost effective payment methods for Winchester City Council.
You can chose a payment day of the 1st, 5th, 15th or 25th of the month (or nearest working day afterwards). -
By Electronic Payment - You can pay your business rates online using our e-payments system

Touch-tone Telephone system - Call 01962 848 512 and have your Business Rates reference number and debit card handy. (We do not accept credit cards).

Online - Using your bank's accounting facility quoting your business rates account reference. Pay to National Westminster Bank 57-73-05.

Cheque - Write your business rates account reference on the reverse of your cheque and post (with your bill AND a stamped address envelope if you require a receipt) to Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, Hants, SO23 9LJ. Cheques should be made payable to Winchester City Council.

In Person -
There are payment kiosks located within the main reception to pay either by Cash, Debit Card or Cheque.
The reception will be open at City Offices - Monday to Thursday 8.45am - 5pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.30pm.
** We do not accept credit card payments for business rates**
