Parks and Open Spaces Survey
Survey Results
Winchester City Council’s Natural Environment and Recreation Team are responsible for the management of play areas, sport pitches, recreation grounds and informal green space in the district of Winchester. The Team commissioned a study during 2018 to determine the level and type of use of these open spaces to inform future decision making. This is the first survey of its kind undertaken in Winchester and it consisted of a visual survey of 33 sites across a one year period.
A summary of findings from the survey can be found attached along with a detailed breakdown of each specific site. The survey results were then used to develop an action plan for open space improvements over the next 1-3 years. To view the action plan please follow this link (pdf, 17kb).
