In an emergency, you must always call 999. 

To report incidents to the police that are not current emergencies, you can call 101, visit your local police station, or use this online form.

If you don’t want to talk to the police, you can report a hate crime anonymously to a third party reporting centre. You don’t have to reveal your personal details to these organisations. 

National third party reporting centres: 
•    True Vision have an online reporting form
•    Stop Hate UK run a free 24-helpline on 0800 138 1625
•    You can also report hate crime to Citizens Advice by visiting the Winchester branch. 

Specific reporting centres:
•    Tell MAMA can be used to report any form of Anti-Muslim abuse – call 0800 456 1226 or visit www.tellmamauk.org for more information
•    Report Racism GRT is run by and for Gypsy, Traveller and Roma communities in the UK. Visit their website for more information including the online form.  
•    Community Support Trust can help with hate crime experienced by people who are Jewish. You can report antisemitism on their website or call them on 0800 032 3263. 
•    GALOP provides support and advice for people who have experienced anti-LGBTQ+ hate crime. There are lots of ways to contact them – you can find out more on their website 

If you are a council tenant and your neighbours or people who live nearby are harassing you, you can tell us. We may be able to take action if you experience hate crime using out anti-social behaviour powers. .

Whether you decide to report a crime or not, there is help available. Victim Support offers lots of information and support for victims of all sorts of crime. They are not a government agency or part of the police and you don’t have to report a crime to get their help. You can find out more on their website.
