Winchester Urban Orienteering Event

Southampton Orienteering Club and BAOC are holding a thrilling weekend of orienteering on 3/4 Nov. Winchester is the venue for an exciting Urban orienteering event on Sat 3rd Nov, before competitors move to the New Forest for Sunday's traditional long event on Hampton Ridge.

Description

Competitors will get the chance to pit themselves against the intricacies of the many Winchester backlanes and side roads as they attempt to be the quickest to navigate themselves around the historic City of Winchester, with the start at North Walls Recreational Park and the finish at Peter Symonds College. In between competitors will visit many of the landmarks in the centre of Winchester as they use a specially drawn map to plot the fastest route between controls strategically placed all around the city. There are age class competitions for all ages and genders from Age 10 up to 95.
