Food Support Organisations
Name of organisation/support Support being provided Contact information Winchester Basics Bank
(Winchester City and surrounding areas - Micheldever to Colden Common) if you live outside this area we will direct you to the food bank closest to youSupport for local people with the provision of food, toiletries, cleaning product and at 2 of our locations we have a small supply of adult clothes and we work with the Vineyard Church Storehouse to offer children's clothes and equipment.
You do not need to be receiving benefit or to be homeless to access the services; assistance is provided to anyone finding themselves in need of support.
On offer: food suitable for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets; all our hubs offer a self-service so you can choose the food that you will eat. People needing help can self-refer for our services a maximum of 4 times, and then if someone needs additional assistance referrals are required from a partner agency (e.g Citizens Advice, Winchester City Council, local schools, family services, Housing Associations) to ensure that all support required is being offered.
At least one of our 4 hubs are open 5 days a week.
A limited delivery service is available for people who are housebound or who have disabilities which prevent them from reaching our hubs in person.
