Volunteering - Opportunities, Support, DBS
Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting our communities, in fact without them, many of the services provided across Winchester district would simply not happen. Whether it is working in a local foodbank or hospital, answering telephones on advice lines, sitting on the management committee of a community centre, or supporting a local community project, the roles for volunteers are broad and varied. For more information visit: Volunteering - Winchester City Council
Hampshire County Council and Community First have schemes to match volunteers to organisations requiring volunteer support. So, if you are looking for a volunteering opportunity or are an organisation seeking volunteers check out their links above.
If you work as a volunteer or engage volunteers in projects which support vulnerable adults and children, you may need to use Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
