Fly-tipping

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste. It's a crime that damages the environment, risks public health and costs taxpayers to clean up. Such items that maybe fly-tipped may include furniture, cookers, fridges and other items of waste. If these items are from your domestic property you can take them to your Local Household Waste Recycling centre free of charge.

It is illegal to fly-tip with a potential for unlimited fines in addition to a maximum prison sentence of five years.

Fly-tipping is removed from public land and highways by our contractors. We cannot accept responsibility for fly-tipping on private property it is up to the land owner to arrange removal.
