Have your say – Winchester district consultation and engagement calendar
We're committed to involving people in decisions that affect them, and value your input in planning, delivering and evaluating services and developing projects right across the district.
Because we want local people to influence decision making, we’ve made this consultation calendar to make it easier for you to have your say.
What you tell us in these consultations helps us to find out what local people think, understand your priorities and concerns and this makes a difference to the decisions we make.
We would like to understand what residents in Winchester think about creativity and culture across the district. What do those words mean to you, what activities do you take part in and how do you enjoy spending your time?
Neighbourhood Services Health and Safety Inspections Survey
The council’s Neighbourhood Services & Community Safety Team regularly visits your block of flats to undertake visual Health & Safety checks inside and outside your block to ensure they are safe and well maintained. We welcome your feedback on how we are doing and also on how safe you feel where you live.
Winchester City Council have asked independent researchers Lake to carry out a doorstep survey of 1,600 residents across the district. This is to get their opinion of the council and its services, the area where they live and what they think the council should focus on improving in the future.
Playing Pitch Strategy and Sports Facilities Needs Assessment
Winchester City Council are in the process of reviewing and updating our Playing Pitch Strategy and Sports Facilities Needs Assessment to inform future priorities until 2040 and support the emerging Local Plan 2020-2040. The Council have commissioned Continuum Sport and Leisure to develop these documents on our behalf.
The purpose of the review and update is:
1) To identify the extent to which the quantity, quality, location, and accessibility of sports facilities in the district meet the needs of the community.
2) To identify and prioritise any required investment that will address existing and future deficiencies in sport/leisure provision.
