Transfer
A premises licence can be transfered to a new premises licence holder.
To apply to transfer the premises licence you must complete the statutory application form, preferably using the online facility. If you wish to apply by post, please contact the Licensing Department for a paper copy of the application form and consent form.
The application must be accompanied by the consent form which should be completed and signed by the current licence holder(s). The transfer comes into immediate effect as soon as the licensing authority receives it, unless stated otherwise.
All individual or partnership applications must have supporting documentation proving the applicant’s entitlement to work in the UK following the introduction of the Immigration Act 2016. Any individual or an individual in a partnership must have the entitlement to work in the UK and are not subject to a condition preventing them from doing work relating to the carrying on of a licensable activity. Applicants should not provide original documents but clear copies.
When submitting an online application, you will require the current Premises Licence number. An example of the format of a Premises Licence number is 23/00000/LAPRMV. This will appear at the top of the Premises Licence or Premises Licence Summary.
If you submit your application by post, you must provide a copy of the application to both the Home Office and the Police at the addresses below. If you complete your application online, the licensing authority will notify these authorities on your behalf.
