Cllr Horrill said:
The new Cabinet delivers a blend of experience and fresh thinking that will help the City Council to meet the challenges ahead and deliver its ambitious Council Strategy.
In particular I look forward to progress on the development of a replacement leisure centre at Bar End which is being led by Cllr Lisa Griffiths.
Cllr Victoria Weston is leaving the Cabinet to make time for a new role in her life away from the Council. I would like to thank her for the great contribution she has made most recently as Deputy Leader, Portfolio Holder for Built Environment and Chair of the Central Winchester IPG.
Cllr Horrill as Leader will take on Cllr Weston’s previous role as Chair of the Informal Policy Group on Central Winchester Regeneration.
