This Year's Elections - key information
Elections for Winchester City Council district and parish elections are scheduled to take place on Thursday 4 May 2023

Some key dates to rememeber for the election include:
- 17 April: last day to register to vote (if you're not already registered)
- 18 April 5pm: last day to apply for a postal vote
- 25 April 5pm: last day to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (only needed if you don't have photo ID that still looks like you)
- 25 April 5pm: last day to apply for a proxy vote
This year, the government has introduced Voter ID to be able to vote at elections (watch the video on YouTube) . Your usual photo ID will be accepted (even if it's out of date as long as it still looks like you) If you dont have suitable ID, then you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate - the city council can help you do this if you need support. contact ereg@winchester.gov.uk or phone 01962848125.
