Abbey House wine tasting offers opportunity to raise a glass for charity
Join the Mayor of Winchester for an elegant wine tasting experience in the Mayor’s historic residence Abbey House, led by a Hampshire wine expert.
This experience takes place on Friday 29 November at 7pm and promises to be an enriching evening for wine enthusiasts and novices alike.
On the night, enjoy a selection of wines paired with insights from Simon Evans of Alresford’s The Naked Grape. Tickets are priced £20 per person, which includes the wine tastings and light refreshments.
The wine tasting is the latest event in the Mayoral Charities calendar, and proceeds will benefit the four chosen charities of the 2024/5 Mayor Cllr Russell Gordon-Smith: St John’s Winchester; Hampshire History Trust; Winchester Radio; and Winchester Sea Cadets. All four organisations support the local community with programmes, services and activities.
The Mayor of Winchester Cllr Russell Gordon-Smith said: “This event in the welcoming and historic surroundings of Abbey House will be the perfect prelude to the festive season. Unwind before the busy bustle of Christmas by enjoying this relaxing evening of wine and conversation - Simon’s passion for wine is infectious.”
