WEATHER WARNING: Storm Eunice
The Met Office has now upgraded its initial Amber alert for Friday 18 February to a Red alert.
Hampshire Constabulary is advising residents not to use the roads unless they have to. The Met Office are also warning that there is a good chance that flying debris could result in a danger to life together with the likelihood of falling branches and some uprooted trees.

For now, to keep safe we’re advising you to:
- Stay indoors during the worst of the weather
- Expect some disruption to services
- Stay away from coastal areas, parks and woodlands.
- Waste & recycling collections are currently going ahead but this is being kept under review during the day. Once bins are emptied they will become easier to be blown over so residents are encouraged to take their wheeled bins in as soon as they are collected to avoid lids being blown open and bins being blown around.
