CCTV
Purpose
By using CCTV we aim to:
- help detect, prevent, and reduce crime, public disorder, and anti-social behaviour
- help the police track and capture people suspected of committing crime
- help identify witnesses
- support Hampshire police, Winchester BID, and our own Neighbourhoods team
- help improve city safety
- help improve traffic management
Camera Locations

Data Request
If you have been involved in an incident which you think may have been captured by the city centre's CCTV network, in the first instance please contact Winchester City Council on 01962 848 346. The data request form can then be completed and submitted to obtain the footage.
