The Enforcement Notice remains on the land or property indefinitely unless it is withdrawn by the Local Authority; therefore, as a new owner, you may be liable for compliance with the notice and may be subject to prosecution and/or direct action should the notice not be complied with.

The Local Authority have the power to withdraw an Enforcement Notice; however, if the notice has been complied with, this is not usually necessary.

Yes. However, if a request for the Local Authority to remove a notice from the register is successful the notice will also be removed from the land charge.
