Engagement and consultation
It is important that we gauge as many people’s opinions as possible when considering the Station Approach development. In order to achieve this, we have held a number of events open to the public and invitation-only workshops.
Cabinet agreed to a pause on the Station Approach initiative to allow time for reassessment, particularly in light of the Coivid-19 impacts on market demand for offices and other uses.
In regard to the last Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands scheme, for which the Outline Planning Permission was quashed in December 2019 following a notice for Judicial Review. The last round of consultation events took place in February 2019. Members of the public had the chance to meet the team of council officers working on the Station Approach project, along with architects Lifschutz Davison Sandilands to hear the latest news on the project. Views on the outline planning application from those attending were welcomed.
