Community Transport - Dial-A-Ride
Dial-a-Ride is a community transport service that can be used by anyone with a mobility or sensory impairment, meaning that they cannot use or have discomfort in using public transport like a bus or taxi. Customers do not have to be registered disabled and can use the service for social or shopping trips, however they can not be sued for hospital appointment.
Dial-a-ride minibuses are specially adapted with handrails and low steps, each vehicle is equipped with a lift or ramp to assist wheelchair and walking frame users
The cost of the service is similar to bus fares, just pay the driver just as you would on a bus.
Assistance is always available from the well trained, friendly drivers so you do not have to worry about getting on and off the bus.
The area's of coverage are Winchester city and the outlying villages in which we do a pick up and drop off service, taking you anywhere within radius of the Winchester City Council district.
Dial-a-Ride runs from Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 4.30pm.
