King George V Pavilion
Our brand new pavilion at King George V (KGV) Playing Fields is now open for hire. The building includes changing rooms to be used alongside sports pitch hire as well as a community space and kitchen, perfect for functions, meetings and a range of activity sessions. Grass Pitches

River Park Tennis & 3G Pitch
The outdoor tennis courts and 3G pitch at River Park can now be hired from Winchester City Council. Please follow the link to book pay and play sessions and to find out about our annual tennis memberships. There are also opportunities to sign up to tennis coaching and an externally organised small sided football league (pdf, 107kb).
Approximate season dates:
Football: 1 September - 30 March
Cricket: 1 May - 30 September*
Rugby: 1 September - 30 March
Pitches are not available to book outside of their respective season.
*Cricket available until 30 September at River Park Pitch 1 only. All other locations until 31 August.

River Park Tennis Courts & 3G Pitch

Directions: Turn into Gordon Road and follow the road until you reach River Park Leisure Centre. The pitches are situated to the left of the Centre.

Garrison Ground

Directions: Continue along Bar End Road. At the mini roundabout, turn right if approaching from the South or left if approaching from the North.

Changing Facilities
There are no changing rooms for the Garrison Ground. There are 6 changing rooms, in close proximity, available on the King George V site and these can be booked online.
Car Parking
No car parking is available on site. Parking for the pitches or changing facilities is available at the Barfield and St Catherine’s Park & Rides, as well as Chesil Street car park. Please do not attempt to park at the stadium as clamping is in operation.

Directions: Turn into Milland Road. The entrance to King George V playing field is straight ahead at the end of Milland Road. Follow the track onto the playing fields.

Car Parking
Cars must be parked in specified areas only – no cars are to be parked at River Park other than in designated car parks. Parking is available at River Park Leisure Centre, Hillier Way and St Peters car park just off Gordon Road.

Fees and charges
Please see the attachments in the 'Documents' area for the scale of charges and terms and conditions, including insurance, cancellations and general information on the use of the pitches.

Cancellation
To cancel a booking please click here to log in and select “Appointments and bookings” in the top right hand corner. From here you can review and cancel your booking(s). Please note that you will have to give at least 48 hours before the booking start time or you will not be refunded. The exception is Sunday bookings which must be cancelled by midday on Thursday.
