Greener Futures Partnership
The Greener Futures Partnership provides a forum for organisations to share and collaborate on projects in support of our ambition of becoming a carbon neutral district by 2030.
The partnership meets quarterly and focuses specifically on supporting the aims and challenges of reducing our carbon emissions across the district, some of which are outlined in two of the council’s key strategic plans: the Carbon Neutrality Action Plan (CNAP) and Green Economic Development Strategy (GEDS).
The first meeting of the Greener Futures Partnership took place in July 2024 and included presentations from: Hampshire Cultural Trust and The Cycle Company, Marwell Wildlife, WinACC and South Wonston Biodiversity Group. Attendees also participated in round table discussions where they mapped climate, nature or green business projects already happening in the Winchester district and looked for opportunities for working together.
Member organisations are welcome from all sectors, including housing, community, transport, local business, education, climate, nature and environment and the public sector. Members include:
NHS |
Sustainable Business Network |
The next meeting of the Greener Futures Partnership wil be on 21 November 2024.
