Milestones:

• Outline planning consent granted 30 July 2018
• Work commenced on site 28 January 2019
• First occupation occurred on 23 December 2021
• Reserve matters applications have been approved for 2,989 dwellings.
• The first primary school, Cornerstone Primary School on Bluebell Way, opened to pupils in September 2021
• Bluebell Way was opened as a through route to the Botley Road in 2021
• The Cycle Way from the northern access junction to Botley Station has been substantially complete

• 2,989 dwellings have been granted planning permission
• Planning applications are being considered for 242. 
• A total of 3,231 dwellings have been approved or being considered of the 3,500 permitted by the outline.  
• 906 properties have been occupied.
• The extension to Bluebell Way is complete and opened to through traffic to the Botley Road.
• Whiteley Way/Curdridge Way are under construction and will link Whiteley town with the Botley Road to the North. 
• The first primary school on site has been constructed and opened in 2021.
• The secondary school has yet to gain planning permission but it is planned to be opened in 2027.
• Footpaths have been constructed in the public open space at Sawpit Copse and Hangmans Copse to give greater accessibility.
• The first phase of the extended bus service commenced 9 January 2023 to serve the development.

Progress on the development is reported to the North Whiteley Forum.   The Forum committee is made up of Winchester City, Hampshire County Council and Town and Parish Councillors.  Officers from the councils are present along with a representative from the developers.
